Hi

I am going into hospital in the middle of october.

They wanted me in the week before but I have 2 big meetings with Gemma's special school and then 3 days in London with Richard on the adoption uk conference (soooooo looking forward to that- its bryan post this year- look up his stuff on you tube- pretty amazing man)

I could have surgery monday but I would need to be well enough to manage to wilts and then to london on the thurs and then the conference and its too much.

So Im going in the week afterwards.

Im going the night before. I have to have a general as cannot risk another epidural and so may well have to be in a second night.

I hope to be out on the Tues 18th ....

Optimistic?

What do you think?

Jenni x

Jenni

At last you have a date to aim for. I am a great believer in nothing ventured nothing gained. You cannot put up with the pain in your knees to hopefully this will sort you out. Just take your time on recovery and remember RA can slow down your recovery.

It is now just over nine months since my knee replacement and it has been a long slow recovery but now I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish you well and with all your busy times before the surgery the time will fly.

Good luck

Jackie

I think you're being wise to time it for when you have done. Here's hoping everything goes smoothly.

Hi Jenni

I am glad you have a date for your op and it is not too far away. You know yourself that it is your only option. How much longer could you put up with this. I wish you lots of luck and love for this op. I pray for you every day and will continue to do so.

Hi Jenni

This is excellent news and not too long to wait! To be honest, debridement and synovectomy can both be very effective treatments so fingers crossed you get a good result. The synovectomy on my left knee lasted 8 years which was pretty good going! I think last year's debridement and cartilage repair would have been more successful had I not received incorrect info on restarting meds! But heyho ... at least things are happening for you and you are booked in.

In the meantime enjoy your London trip!
Thinking of you,

Lyn xx
